2022
2022 sees me tackle a new challenge, straying away from the standard paying drives that I had followed for my career thus far.
After a year focussing on my degree, it feels amazing to return to the top echelon of national competition and it feels great to be returning to Century Motorsport for 2022. After a year out focusing on my degree, returning to the top-flight of national competition feels amazing. When the opportunity to race for BMW’s factory sim racing team, BS+Competition came about in 2021, I never really believed that I’d also be driving the real M4 GT3 so soon after its launch. I’m really excited to see how the eSports example compares to Century’s when we hit the track this year.
As if that wasn't enough!
For 2022, my dad and I pooled our resources and decided to buy our own race car, which an introduction and back story is necessary.
Back in 2008, I was yet to start karting, and at the time the job my dad had sponsored a race car in what was back then, the Avon Tyres British GT Championship. This car was in the title fight for the last race of the season and as such, my dad decided to take me along and experience a GT motor race. Looking at my career path so far, safe to say I enjoyed what I saw! Anyway, the car my dad sponsored was a 2006 Dodge Viper GT3, with a thumping great 8.3-Litre V10 up front and I've had a soft spot for that car ever since then. The car is now eligible for historic competitions, and as such, welcome to our very own 2007 Dodge Viper GT3!
Together we are going to be racing this car in several events in 2022 and beyond. We are excited to enter the historic racing paddock and compete against some of history's finest race cars as well as continue to involve ourselves in the modern racing with this bruiser of a machine.
We can't wait to get started!
