ANGUS FENDER - MY BLOG
Welcome to my blog!
Here, you will find my report of all my latest racing events, from race meetings to sponsorship events, as well as any news that I have to announce.
The Donington Park circuit is always one I’ve enjoyed, and I was really excited to go back there for Round 2 of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship. It’s a track I’ve enjoyed success at in the past and one I was confident we could do well at this time around. Following on from the first round at Oulton Park two weeks prior, the whole team were looking forward to a strong showing here too.
I cannot really describe the feeling of entering a race track on race day. Having been deprived of the experience for almost a full year now, British GT was finally back. This year is perhaps the best year ever in the championship’s history for sheer driver quality and the on-track action definitely didn’t disappoint.
I'm proud to be signing for 2 Seas Motorsport as a McLaren GT3 driver for the 2020 British GT Championship in their gorgeous 720S GT3.
Racing for a marque such as McLaren is a really special opportunity, with their rich and exotic racing heritage and I have no doubt their superbly engineered 720S will be the perfect tool to be competing at the sharp end this season.
Having finished P2 in the 2019 Dubai 24 Hours, it was time to try and go one place better in 2020. It's always been a ciruit I've enjoyed and with a strong driver lineup and a proven car, I was feeling confident going into the weekend.
